The following information reflects what is new in the edX Platform as of 28 May 2015.

edX Studio

Course teams can now specify either “All Rights Reserved” or a Creative Commons license for course content as a whole as well as for each individual video in the course. For more information, see Course Licensing in Building and Running an edX Course and Enabling Course and Video Licensing in Installing, Configuring, and Running the Open edX Platform.

Learning Management System

When course teams specify license options for a course or for specific videos, learners can now see license information on every page in the courseware and for specific videos. For Creative Commons licenses, learners can follow links to the Creative Commons website to read more about their rights to use course content.

edX Website

  • Users could not use screen reader controls or tabs to activate the button to take their photos during the verification process. This problem has been fixed. (ECOM-1472)
  • On the learner dashboard, user names were appearing above the “Want to change your account settings?” text in the right sidebar. This problem has been fixed. (UX-2153)
