Week Ending 3 February 2017

The following information summarizes what was released in the edX platform during the week ending 3 February 2017.

The edX engineering wiki Release Pages provide detailed information about every change made to the edx-platform GitHub repository. If you are interested in additional information about every change in a release, create a user account for the wiki and review the dated release pages.

When the Show Answer setting is active for a checkbox or multiple choice problem, a correct answer is now indicated not only by being rendered in green, but also with a check mark beside it. (TNL-6357)

Several accessibility improvements were made to discussions. To provide a better experience for screen reader users, only actual headings in discussions are now tagged as heading elements (TNL-6363). Fields that are required when learners add new posts now have asterisks next to their names as visual indicators of being required fields. Required fields were already indicated as such in screen reader attributes (TNL-6364).

In Studio, the Add New Library button for creating a new content library is now available only to course team members who have the course creator or course staff role. (OSPR-1563)

In Insights, the new Courses page provides a dashboard view of all of your courses, including key information and top-level enrollment data. For more information, see Overview of All Courses in the Using edX Insights guide.
